Mishka is a Brookyln-based lifestyle brand. From Kraftwerk, to Can, to Dead Prez, to Fred Perry, to workwear, to Pop Art, to video games, and obscure cartoons we draw from a diverse field of influences to create products with a unique appeal. We also network closely with various record labels, bands, photographers, stylists, magazines, and other cultural outlets to host events.
Currently, we are seeking interns for our Shipping Warehouse, our Graphic Design department, our PR and Events department, our Production department, and our Office. These are separate positions in separate facilities. Please review the summaries below, and indicate which position best suits your skills in your inquiry. While all of these positions are located in different facilities, and each is best suited by a different skill set, they all provide valuable insight into the workings of a small business operating at a global scale.
Office:
Our Office is located in the South Side of Williamsburg. It is split between two locations, both of which are located just off of the Marcy stop on the JMZ line, a short walk from the Broadway stop on the G line, and a 10 minute walk from the Lorimer stop on the L line. Interns at the Office will be expected to be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, and capable of performing standard Office tasks including but not limited to: organizing files, running errands, lite cleaning, and data entry. In some instances interns may be asked to generate content for our blog, or attend events on our behalf.
Production:
Our Production Office is located in the South Side of Williamsburg, just off of the Marcy stop on the JMZ line, a short walk from the Broadway stop on the G line, and a 10 minute walk from the Lorimer stop on the L line. Productions interns will be expected to be familiar with Adobe Illustrator, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Of course, Production interns should be competent when it comes to fashion. Production interns will assist with the inspection and sorting of samples, inputting spec info, archiving, and other tasks.
Shipping Warehouse:
Our Shipping Warehouse is located on the North Side of Williamsburg. We are just off of the Bedford stop on the L line. Our Shipping Warehouse is responsible for fulfilling all orders for wholesale accounts, as well as our e-commerce shop. Interns assisting in the Shipping Warehouse should be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and capable of performing standard warehouse tasks including, but not limited to: lifting and moving boxes, pulling orders, cleaning, and running errands.
Graphic Design:
Our Graphic Design office is located in the South Side of Williamsburg. It just off of the Marcy stop on the JMZ line, a short walk from the Broadway stop on the G line, and a 10 minute walk from the Lorimer stop on the L line. Graphic Design interns must be proficient in the Adobe Suite, and should have a cursory knoweldge of the streetwear industry. Interns assisting in the Graphic Design department will be expected to revise graphics, archive data, source materials, and generate content for the blog. In some instances Graphic Design interns may be asked to attend events on our behalf.
PR and Events:
Our PR and Events department is located in the South Side of Williamsburg. It is split between two locations, both of which are located just off of the Marcy stop on JMZ line, a short walk from the Broadway stop on the G line, and a 10 minute walk from the Lorimer stop on the L line. Our PR and Events department works with artists, media outlets, and venues to build relationships and create events that promote the brand within a very carefully defined market. Interns assisting in the PR and Events department will be responsible for maintaining correspondences, arranging the shipment of promotional goods, and maintaining records. As well, PR and Events interns will be expected to generate content for the blog, and attend events on our behalf.
